"Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara" Movie Story:
The movie is a socio fantasy with comedy essence. The story revolves around a historical monument named ‘Gandharva Mahal’. This palace was owned by Rayudu (Prabhu) who will be the present head of the Royal Family of Gandharva Mahal. Because of his family economical status Rayudu rents out the palace.
Some of the tenants take his generosity as advantage and stay without paying their rents from many years. The entry of Manoj in the name of a tenant and puts full stop to the problematic tenants and restores palace to Rayudu.
Rayudu fix his elder daughter (Madhumita) married and Bridegroom side relatives wants Gandharva Mahal as the dowry. But this palace has terrific history and the spirit of Narasimha Rayudu (Balakrishna) and Bhupathi (Sonu Sood) were still in the palace. Amrutha Valli (Lakshmi Manchu) daughter of a prostitute is the key character.
Strange events start taking place as the bridegroom and his family arrives for the wedding in the Gandharva Mahal. Besides this a love tracks between manoj and diksha who is second daughter of Rayudu.
How the character of Amrutha Valli related to the Gandharva Mahal? What makes Manoj to help Rayudu? What happens to the family finally? Is the remaining story.
The Performances in "Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara":
Balakrishna in royal appearance is superb in the movie. His characterization and costumes are superb and this will be his best look in this times. From his introduction shot to the climax episode, Balayya has done his best.
Manoj has delivered a good performance. But coming to costume and his appearance were not that much impressive. His dialogue delivery is super and his voice added him good advantage. Deeksha Seth looks impressive but she does not have much to do.
Lakshmi Manchu is the asset of the film. Her performance especially in the climax is highlight for the entire film. Sonu Sood is normally super as he did in ‘Arundhati’. Bhanuchander is desent as Seshayya.
Sai Kumar’s was not as we expect. His characterization is too unconvincing. Nilalgal Ravi is absolutely wasted in a small appearance. Ajay and Suhasini impress in their roles. Prabhu is ok.
"Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara" Movie Analysis:
The interval block and the last 25 minutes of the movie are really outstanding. The scenes related to Balakrishna, Lakshmi Manchu and Sonu Sood are said to be the soul of the show. Better comedy, faster narration in the first half would have made a terrific difference to the movie.
No proper justification for the title ‘U Kodathara Ulikki Padathara’ the story is predictable in some sequence. The sense of fear and thrill needed for such movies is not there. Unconventionally shot songs is said to be a big minus for the movie.
The movie moves along slowly in the first half. Comedy involving Raghu Babu, Dharmavarapu and others is not that much entertaining. Care should have been taken with respect to screenplay and narration.
Overall, the production team of UKUP done nice job by putting up a good effort can be better.
Technical Departments of "Uu Kodathara Ulikki Padathara":
The movie is a complete commercial entertainer. Production values are rich and the movie has magnificence impact. Background music is suited the movie, but some of the songs will not appeal to the mass audiences. Cinematography is clean and clear.
Editing looks bit jurkey. Dialogues are decent and Balakrishna’s lines are neat. Manoj has composed the fight sequences well. Visual effects by Pixion are good in most places. Sekhar Raja’s direction is good towards the climax.
But the direction in the first half he should have taken more care. Bhupesh’s art work is the highlight of the movie.
