Pulihora Tamarind Rice Recipe Ingredients
Use the following ingredients to prepare or make Pulihora Tamarind Rice recipe at home.
Fenugreek Seeds - 1/4 tspn
Sesame Seeds -1 1/2 tspn
Red Chillies - 12nos
Pulihora Tamarind Rice Recipe Making Procedure
- Heat 1/2 tspn oil in a pan and add fenugreek seeds, 7 red chillies and sesame seeds. Fry in medium heat.
Once it is light brown color take it off the stove and cool.
Once cooled, grind to a nice powder without adding water.
Heat oil ( about 8-10spoons), add asafotida, mustard seeds, curry leaves, urad dal, chana dhal, red chillies.
Once the dhal becomes medium brown, add turmeric, salt and add the tamarind juice and allow to boil.
When it is boiling well, add the ground powder and all to boil, till it becoms light paste. Once done, take it off the stove.
Add the rice in a plate and cool, then add oil on the rice and then add the tamarind paste and mix well.
Tamarind rice or pulihora rice is ready to eat.
